We never got to say, “hello.”
We only said, “goodbye.”
For far too good for this world,
You were only passing by…
To remind us of the blessings of Angels from above,
To bring a little closer all the people that you love.
And though finding the good seemed impossible,
We knew that we must try.
So, forever in our hearts you’d stay,
But our tears, they had to dry.
Then our empty arms reached to Him.
And our hands fell down to pray,
That His love and peace would guide our grief,
To help others along the way.
Now as we keep your name alive,
Through giving, faith and love,
We know you’re smiling down on us
Our beautiful Angel from above.
And it’s thoughts of you that lead us
To love stronger every day,
Knowing you are safe and loved,
For in His arms you lay.
